RPM Custom CNC Machining., was formed in 1997 to focus on meeting the increasing demand of high quality machined plastic prototypes and appearance models. We concentrate exclusively on complex surface machining because we believe it not only complements other prototyping processes, but truly yields the highest quality and performance value.

Machined plastic prototypes

Our machined plastic prototypes represent the best of both worlds. You get the accuracy and strength of a production part in a quick turn process. CNC machining is a good complement to other rapid prototyping (RP) processes like SLA and SLS.

The engineers we work with often start out using other RP processes to refine their design and move to machined plastic prototypes to do final test and debug. It's ideal for that final set of prototypes needed prior to going to the tooling stage. After all, a machined plastic prototype is as close as you can get to your production parts.

Appearance Models

We can take anything from sketch data to engineering databases and create an appearance model with the level of functionality you need. Our models, designed for field use, are very durable and convey the final look and feel of your product. Extensive use of engineering plastics such as ABS ensures that they don't come apart in marketing's hands.

Concept Modeling Services

Our foam models are an excellent way to visualize multiple ideas without the time and expense of an appearance model. We can start with a sketch or your CAD database and work with you to create the level of concept model that best fits your needs - multiple paint colors, moving parts and modularity are among the many options.
