Acetal

Pomalux® (acetal copolymer) is an engineering thermoplastic used in precision parts due to its high strength and stiffness, enhanced dimensional stability, ease of machining and low coefficient of friction. It has ability to retain its dimensional integrity and stability with most chemicals even at the elevated temperature. It shows good resistance to creep, fatigue, abrasion and solvents. Pomalux is commonly used in bearings and wear applications since it has low coefficient of friction, self-lubricating and good wears properties in both wet and dry conditions. It is a sterilizable thermoplastic in which germicides and disinfectants have no effects and commonly used in orthopedic surgery. It is available in natural (white), and black and custom colors. Low moisture absorption and high dielectric strength makes it suitable for electrical applications.
