Teflon PTFE

Teflon® PTFE (PolyTetraFluoroEthylene) is a synthetic fluorocarbon polymer manufactured only by DuPont. It offers excellent chemical resistance, weather resistance, and electrical and thermal insulation. Teflon shows exceptional resistance to high temperature, corrosion, and stress-cracking. It has unique non-stick behavior due to its very low coefficient of friction. Teflon maintains its mechanical properties over a wide range of temperatures -1000F to 4000F. Fillers such as graphite, molybdenum, carbon, and glass improve its mechanical strength, stability, and wear resistance.
